以劇場舞台為概念, 使不同年代間的故事能共同演出, 背景必須單純, 有如深色布幕ㄧ般, 整體以深色胡桃木為底. 胡桃木穩重卻又不失時尚感的調性, 使兩代截然不同的選物並存不衝突. 整室的視覺重心落在空間末端的餐廳區域, 翡翠綠大理石牆與傳統大圓桌的組合, 使其突出卻不突兀. 實際的大量收納隱藏在單色的周邊背景中, 在局部穿插的大理石材料, 標示出吧台及玄關展示等公共機能. 軟硬之間展露出的細節元素, 是整體必要的點綴.
從圓潤的傳統家具發想, 弧形天花自入口玄關拋出, 緩緩的拋物線跨越不同區域向外延伸, 收覆結構大樑, 將天花量體感減到最低, 也將空間向各向度拉展延伸, 使視覺更開擴, 空間更單純.
浴室色調與整體統一, 以大地色無縫塗料包覆整體, 土質塗料的特性使浴室俐落卻不失溫潤. 在這溫暖色調中展開的兩代生活元素, 是一種對比也是一種互補, 2種風格之間持續的平衡, 使這簡約空間充滿張力與趣味, 在輕鬆的態度下, 擔負承載2代生活的重任.

The combination of a traditional two-generation family represents the harmony between different standards and concepts about space, and also the integration of collections and furniture from old and young generation. The design not only has to build a minimal space expected by both generations, but also has to create the coexistence of tradition and cutting-edge. It shows the pursuit of balances, such as being open and precise; being simple and steady; and being characteristic and calm.
The central concept is to imagine the whole space as a theatre stage. it allows the story of different times to be performed together. The background must be simple as a dark curtain. Dark walnut veneer and flooring covers most of the space. The stable but modern tone of walnut enables the chosen collections from the different generations to coexist harmoniously. The visual focus is the dining area at the end of the space. The combination of an emerald green marble wall and a traditional large round table makes them stand out and become the visual gravity of the whole. Massive storage spaces are hidden in the monochromatic surroundings. Grey marbles are applied to high-light areas such as the bar counter and the display in the entrance.
Inspired by round-shaped traditional furniture, the curved ceiling starts from the entrance, then gently extends outwards and crosses into the different areas. Finally, it wraps the central beam and somehow visually reduces the volume of it. It also extends the space to every dimension and creates a cleaner space with a broad visual sense.
The color tone of the bathroom is unified with the whole space. Earth tone seamless coating material is used in the whole bathroom. Soil-texture coating material builds up a simple and warm bathroom with clean lines but remains comforting.
The style of these two generations can be seen as a contrast and a complement at the same time. The consistent balance between these two styles makes this minimal space full of tension and drama. It enables carrying on the responsibility of caring for the lives of both generations with a relaxed attitude.
